NorCross HawkEye F33P Fish FinderThe NorCross HawkEye F33P Fish Finder is a sonar marine device that will allow you to visually detect where the fish are in the water, the exact depth of the area, and what the bottom structures are. Instead of guessing where the best fishing spots are, the NorCross Portable Fish Finder gives a visual indication so you always know whether you’re going to catch something in a particular spot or not.

Features of the HawkEye F33P Portable Fish Finder

This Fish Finder makes use of an ultra wide sonar beam angle that stretches to 45 degrees. From 1.5 feet to 99.9 feet you’ll be able to accurately get readings concerning the bottom structure, what kind of fish and how many are in the area, and a precise measurement of depth. It detects all of this using a sonar sensor that is equipped with a 35-foot cable (comes with a cable tie-strap). The sonar sensor is floatable, mountable, and trollable so you can use it whether on boat or at shore. With the NorCross Hawkeye F33, it’s just a matter of throwing it out and into the water.

Pros of the NorCross HawkEye F33P Fish Finder

•    It can operate in waters as cold as zero-degree Fahrenheit. This makes it the ideal fish finder for all fishing conditions and weather conditions. You can use it all year round without worrying if the heat or cold would affect its accuracy and functionality.
•    Built for both novice and professional fishermen, it is remarkably easy to use. All you have to do is turn the device on and toss it into the water. Immediately you’ll be receiving the information on the receiver.
•    Backlit LCD screen makes it easy to read and prevents eyestrain, making it one of the only fish finders you can use in the dark or when the sun is glaring overhead.
•   The Norcross F33 uses four AAA batteries, which is really good. I had to use an old set of AAA batteries when I first tried this device and it still chugged on continuously for hours. Other kayak fish finders use expensive lithium-ion batteries so having to rely on cheap, long-lasting AAA batteries is a big plus and which can purchased at the local drugstore or seven eleven stores.

Cons- NorCross HawkEye F33P Fish Finder

•    Depth accuracy is a little hard to measure. If the waters are still then there’s no problem but the moment there are waves and the sensor starts to bob, it won’t be as accurate.
•    The device doesn’t indicate the size of the fish in the area. It does tell what kind of fish you’ll find in those waters but you’ll have no idea on their particular size.
Conclusion
I highly recommend the NorCross HawkEye F33P Fish Finder especially if you like to fish on a regular basis without having to even need a boat. It mounts perfectly fine to my kayak and it always leads me to the hotspots. Sure, it’s not always going to give accurate depth measurements unless you submerge it or attach it to a boat but that’s more of a personal gripe than anything. For the price tag the Hawkeye F33  comes with, it’s the ideal Fish Finder you can get today and it’s so compact and portable it can fit right in the palm of your hand.
